TicTacToe — Privacy Policy & App Description

1. Introduction

ZenithCode Studio ("we", "our", "us") operates the TicTacToe mobile and web application ("App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

Email address — provided when you sign up.
Name — optional display name/profile name you may enter.

2.2 Gameplay & App Data

Game records: moves, board states, results (win/loss/draw), grid type (3×3 or 4×4), chosen difficulty.
Actions & events: in-app actions such as unlocks, purchases (if any in future), and feature usage.
Virtual currency (Coins): earned and spent within the app to unlock features; we store balances and transaction history.

2.3 Chat & Messaging

When you use online play and chat, we store the messages to enable the conversation and replay features.

2.4 Device & Technical Data

Device type, operating system version, app version, IP address, and basic diagnostics (crash logs) to help troubleshoot issues.

3. How We Collect Data

Directly from you when you create an account, sign in as guest, or use in-app features.
Automatically while you interact with the app (gameplay, chat, errors).

4. How We Use Your Data

To provide and maintain game features (matchmaking, online play, chat, save/restore games).
To personalize your experience (showing progress, coins, available unlocks).
To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
To protect against abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
To analyze and improve the App (usage statistics and diagnostics).

5. Legal Basis (where applicable)

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a legal basis (for example, the EU), we rely on:

Performance of a contract (providing the services you requested).
Legitimate interests (app security, fraud prevention, analytics) where those interests do not override your rights.

6. Data Storage & Security

Where your data is stored: We store user data in Firebase services (Authentication and Firestore/Realtime Database) to provide fast, reliable syncing between devices and the web. Server-side backups are performed in accordance with Firebase policies.

Encryption & protections: Chat messages and sensitive user data are encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard transport security (HTTPS/TLS). We also encrypt chat contents before storage. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Security measures: access control, encrypted transport, and regular security reviews. However, no internet service can be 100% secure — we work to minimize risk.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as the account exists or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal data, chat history, games, and other stored data within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days) unless otherwise required by law.

8. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

Service providers: Firebase (Google) for hosting and database. These providers act as processors and are bound by contractual safeguards.
Legal obligations: when required by law or to protect our rights.

9. Advertising & Analytics

Currently the App does not share personal information with advertisers. We may use anonymized analytics to understand usage patterns. If we introduce ads or new analytics, we will update this policy and obtain any required consents.

10. Children & Age Restrictions

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or older if local law sets a higher age). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child provided personal data, please contact us at zenithcodestudio@gmail.com and we will promptly remove the data.

11. Your Rights & Choices

Access & Portability: You may request a copy of your personal data.
Correction: You can update your profile (display name) in the app.
Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data. To do so use the in-app "Delete Account" option or email zenithcodestudio@gmail.com. We will process requests within a reasonable timeframe (typically 30 days).
Opt-out: For non-essential analytics or marketing (if introduced) you will be able to opt-out via the app settings.
